The Village of Muscoda will start picking up yard waste/compost on Monday, April 3rd and continue through October on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of those months. Yard waste must be at the curb or in the alley before 7 am and must be in cardboard boxes, paper bags or containers weighing less than 35 pounds. YARD WASTE IN PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP.
DO NOT blow grass clippings into the curb or street when mowing as it clogs up the storm drains and causes backups.
DO NOT rake any yard waste into the curb during the spring of the year.
Brush pickup will begin on Thursday, April 27th and continue through October on the last Thursday of those months. Brush must be placed in an orderly manner at the curb or in the alley before 7 am on the scheduled day of pickup.
Muscoda is part of NextDoor, a private, local social network. Membership is only open to residents of Muscoda. Addresses must be verified, this way you can be sure that your ‘Babysitter wanted’ ad and any other content is not visible to anyone except other Muscoda residents.
On our Nextdoor site, neighbors share community events, recommendations, items for sale/free, crime/safety concerns, ideas about how to make our village better, and more. Please join us to build a better village and neighborhood!
Thanks to donations from Universal Silencer, Richland Medical Center, Golden Living Center and Grant County a permanent drug drop box is now available in the Kratochwill Memorial Building (206 N Wisconsin Avenue) just outside of the Police Department Office. Unused medications should be removed from container, placed in a baggie and dropped in.
Starting in July, minutes (once approved) and agendas will be posted under the Village Information tab – click on link to Village Government
